There are a few gambling dens located in the state, the majority on docked riverboats. The largest of the Iowa gambling dens is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an Indian gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of gambling room, 1,500 slots, 30 table games, such as blackjack, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous varieties of poker; also three dining rooms, daily shows, and casino classes. One more big Indian gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slot machines, and 14 table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and 4 eatery’s. There are numerous other dominant Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.

A smaller Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a river boat gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slots, and 14 table games. Another Iowa river based casino, The Isle of Capri, is open never closes, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river boat casino in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday blackjack matches.

Iowa casinos provide a great deal of tax money to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has enabled the bankrolling of a good many commonwealth wide projects. Tourism has gotten bigger at a rapid percentage accompanied with the demand for processors and an increase in working people. Iowa casinos have been instrumental to the growth of the market, and the excitement for gambling in Iowa is widespread.
